BYE license key problem

My local user (Windows 10) has some corruption making it difficult to use. Created new local user.  BYE asks for lic. key and, after entry, returns:  unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. path ", line 0, position 0.  Have tried uninstalling and re-installing from Administrator account.  No help.  Tried uninstalling and then re-installing from new local account.  Same result.  re-entered lic key umpteen times.  Same result.  Help, please.

OK. Upgraded to V 3.1.18.  Able to get BYE working!  Thanks for the help and a great App.

which version of BYE, the full number please?

If you are trying to type in your license key, instead you should use Copy/Paste to transfer the key from your profile on this web site and BYE. The Identifier is the username (case sensitive) of the account that you used when you got the license.

Virtually all similar errors are caused by the user not entering their license key correctly, not a program bug or server error.

version is 3.1.17-RC1

Will try copying and entering key but did do entry again and again in case I erred.

Ok, 3.1.17-RC1.  First off that is a pre-release, hence the RC1... RC = release candidate.

Please upgrade do 3.1.18 and let us know if you get the same error.

Apologies for double posting. My naivete in site use caused me to think first post hadn't gone.  Thanks for your suggestions. Will install V 3.1.18.
