yes, a reboot will probably fix that.

First - Thanks to all for your inputs.  Now the good news: I figured out the problem.  Turns out I had a corrupted TMP directory.  Not sure how it became corrupted, but after creating a new "Temp" directory and tweaking the environmental path all works as advertised.  Looking forward to play around with the app.  Again, thanks to all.

I have approved your post BUT I DELETED the image because it contained your license.  If you post or share your license key on any public forum, including this one, you will be banned for life.  Please be diligent as I have a zero tolerance policy for sharing keys.

All trial keys require Internet access at application startup to validate the license key.  Purchase keys do not.

If you have full access to the Internet when you start a trial and you still get this error message it means that your anti-virus system of firewall is blocking the call to the licensing server.  You may need to whitelist www.otelescope.com or you  may need to temporarily disable them so the call to the licensing server completes without errors.

Regards,

Regards,

Tried everything;ng I could think of , which admittedly is not a lot,  but can't get past the error  I'd be banned for life if I reposted and still no joy. Turned off the firewall altogether and still got the error.  Not sure what to do now

I think you misunderstood.  You can post pretty much anything and I'm good with it.  The only thing I'm strict about is when users share their activation keys... that I have a zero tolerance policy.

So, feel free to post anything, just make sure your software key is not included in any post you make on any public forum, including this forum because it too is public and anyone can see your post :)

What about your anti-virus? Did you try disabling it?

Are you using your personal computer of a work computer?

You should be sure to use Copy/Paste rather than manually retyping to transfer your license key from this web site into the BYE license validation dialog and be sure the identifier is the username of the O'Telescope account that contains the license.

Did the cut and paste - no joy

Tried installing on my desktop and BAM! it worked first time.

Came back the laptop deleted the installation and did a fresh install.   Now I keep getting the following:  "Unable to execute file in the temporary directory.  Setup aborted.  Error 5: Access is denied. "  Ideas?
