BYE v3.1.0 Night Mode - Scroll Bars no longer "reddened"

s3igell

Question

It appears that under Win7 (at least) the Scroll Bars are no longer changed to a RED motif when the User is in Night Mode.

This only occurs in the few UI Elements (View Log History, EXIF Data, etc), which might be operated during a normal Dark Site Imaging Session.  (Generally, I operate Night Mode behind a Rubylith Shield - one simply CANNOT Control all the various Apps and Dialogs that might show up in their Blazing White glory...)

As well, all of the old-school WinNT/WinXP Directory Selection Dialogs encountered in the Settings are GUILTY of Blazing in White - but these are much less likely to be encountered while actually in an Imaging Session.

Can you post a screen shoot?

There is nothing I can do about the folder browse dialog, this is a windows dialog.  The only alternative would be to redo one myself.. not sure it is worth it.

As for the other scroll bars, they come form windows too... but they should look the same.  I'll check to see if one has a different scheme/skin from the other.

Thanks

Agreed - not worth much effort...  Settings, especially these settings, are not normally modified during an Imaging Session.

Interesting... I almost never use the Night mode in BYE myself as I always have BackYard Red running so I can use its slider to adjust to whatever level of red I wish.  This is the most convenient for me and works for anything that pops up on the monitor.

Unfortunately, BackyardRED also has difficulties with various GUI Components and Popups and even with controlling the "redness" of the TaskBar...

Yeah, this is because Windows decides that some UI component are always on top <_>

That's why a red plastic overlay is "better" than a software solution, IMHO. Something is always going to be an exception, with the software, and come up blazing white.

When I'm at home I don't even bother with the red shield anymore, just turn the screen brightness all the way down. With Astrotortilla, no need to look at anything except the laptop.
