McAfee screwed up my session

Jerry_K

Question

Last night I have set up as usual with turning off Wi-Fi, screen saver, MS updates, started BYE, Starry Night 7, did 2+4 but when I got to PA and slew to Altair that I wanted to use I couldn't focus in Frame & Focus, everything just went snail pace. When I checked Task Manager that took 2 minutes to open, I saw that freaking McAfee started full scan and decided that what I am doing doesn't matter and took over 92% of CPU. No mater what I did I didn't get any response at all, even mouse prompt didn't respond to any sort of clicks. There was no way to click on Pause or Cancel. Is there a way to shut the freaking McAfee dead till I'm done? Such a beautiful clear cold night and it was totally ruined.

Not fun <_<

Is there a way to schedule system scan to run at 6am?  When the night is over?

Regards,

Guylain, the scan was off, I have turned scheduled scanning off right after McAfee installation, but what I have discovered few minutes ago that Real-Time Scan was on. McAfee must have been confused because there was no Internet connection and just took over CPU to find it.
