Forum Request: Background Color of New Post / Reply Edit Box

s3igell

Question

I really like the Muted Colors chosen for the Forum Color Scheme.

I especially appreciate this when browsing the Forum while working on an Evening's Observing Session.  These colors generally preserve one's semi- Dark-Adapted eyesight (especially behind a sheet of rubylith).  And they complement the BYEOS colors - Daylight or Nightlight schemes.

However, all of this is somewhat SPOILED by the Shockingly Bold White of the dormant New Post / Reply Edit Box lingering at the bottom of every Forum Post page.  This persists when one activates that Text Edit Tool.  While one can carefully avoid the Glare lingering at the bottom of a Forum Post page, it becomes unavoidable if you decide to contribute to the Forum with a Post or Reply.

Is there ANY WAY to assert a similar Muted Color Scheme to these Text Boxes ??

(please)

Understood...

If at all possible, at least Dimming (or Shrinking) the "Dormant" Placeholder for the Text Entry Tool that is shown all the time at the bottom of every Post page would be a great start.

Then, one only needs to endanger one's Dark-Adjusted sight when one Really has Something To Say via a new Post or Reply...  [cool]

The formerly WHITE Box at the bottom of every Topic Thread - has gone a good Moderate GREY !!

I love it...  And so do my Dark Adapted Eyesight !!

The actual Text Entry Tool is still a bright White, but one only encounters it when one actually wishes to Post to a Thread.  (Hopefully this, too, can eventually adopt the Grey-and-Orange Color Scheme - but one step at a time...)

It's GREAT that Guylain invests so much time accommodating his Customers !!

(It's a good thing he didn't decide his Business Venture was to be "Dental Imaging Software" !!  )
