Connecting focuser

Dumb question--I have a Micro Focuser that I use before imagining but would like to connect it to BYN to be able to focus as I go.

How do I hook it up? Thanks.

So, I am assuming that you have a Feather Touch Micro Focuser. If not, you need to tell us the brand and model of your focuser.

Also, you need to describe more fully what you mean by "focus as I go".

BYE/BYN does not automatically measure the focus of each image or automatically adjust the focus between exposures. This has been discussed many, many times over the years.

What BYE or BYN (with a Premium license) will do is allow you to manually check and adjust your focus while in Frame and Focus mode while sitting at the keyboard.

If your focuser is a Feather Touch Micro Focuser then you should contact Startlight Instruments about how to connect the focuser to your computer. This makes the focuser an "electronic focuser". You also need to install the ASCOM Platform (from the www.ASCOM-standards.org web site) on your PC along with an ASCOM driver for your electronic focuser. Then from BYE or BYN's ASCOM Focuser panel you should be able to adjust your focuser position.
