BYN does not turn off the camera, so it could be that the camera is doing a safety shutdown on its own.

By  "dummy battery" do you mean that you are using an A/C adapter that plugs into the empty battery compartment?

Is the shutdown consistent and predictable? Does it also fail with shorter exposures?

My Canon has an "Auto power off" setting that I disable. Do you have something similar?

It is also good to tell us which version (like 2.0.10) of the software you are using.

I got your log file.  In the future please provide a link/url to this conversation as per the instructions.  Otherwise I need to go fish it out and this is time consuming when I have a few support issues that I'm working on.

You are using the "Nikon2015" drivers in BYN when connecting your camera, try using the more recent "Nikon" drivers in BYN when connecting your camera.

Let me know if this makes a difference.
