A Trial license is good for 30 days and requires an internet connection, for validation, each time BYE is started up. Also, a BYN key will not work with BYE. Check the expiration date of your BYE Trial license. Also make sure that the license key and identifier are correctly entered. Use copy/paste to ensure that the license key is not mis-typed. The identifier is your username and is case sensitive. In your case your username appears to be your email address.

as you stated, reinstall didn't fix. verify my identifier is my email address captjeff00@outlook.com  that's what I used. Yes, I am connected to the internet. I'm at a total loss. Not a clue what the issue could be. Should I go ahead and purchase the product. Or should I wait to see what is going on. I fully intend on using BYEOS

I suspect your anti-virus or firewall is blocking it.   Disable them first, try to validate, then turn them on again.  This should validate if this is the cause.

Well, the only other possibility seems to be that your PC is not able to contact the O'Telescope server to validate the license. Since no other users have reported the same issue, it is likely that your PC is blocking access. I would follow Guy;ain's suggestion.

since it says that the key is expired or not activated, etc is there a way to generate another key that will activate

It's activated, I just used it.  Have you ever used a BYE trial key on this computer?  Even if it was 3 years ago?

Try another PC as a test.

His question was have you ever installed a BYE (Backyard EOS (Canon)) trial license on the same PC. It is different from a Backyard Nikon (BYN) license.

Correct... did you try BYE on another computer?
