I can imagine that for a camera as old as the 20Da, that it will grow more difficult for Guylain to support. Canon has not supported any DIGIC I or II cameras for several years.

Some other users have solved similar issues with their 20D cameras.

Does Windows recognize the camera when it is plugged into the PC and powered on? If not you need to find a low-level driver to install...It is not part of the O/S, but you may have luck downloading and installing the Windows XP driver from Canon.

Be sure that you are using the Canon210 driver version when connecting BYE.

Hi

Windows 7 installs the Camera driver once connected and powered on

Yes I am using the Canon 210 driver version

Still BYE does not connect with the camera

I have looked at troubleshooting  to rule out the Camera / Cameras micro USB or the cable

I doubt the camera is recognized as an imaging device without the drivers, Window will only see it as a storage device if my memory serves me right and this is not enough.  You need those drivers.
