BackyardCCD?

Dide

Question

I've always used BackyardEOS (Premium) but I recently switched to a SBIG CCD and read on several websites about a possible CCD version of BackyardEOS. Is this the case or is this not true? I really like backyardEOS and the GUI and would love to see a CCD version of it!

How about the present situation of BackyardCCD? When are you planning to release it? I am a happy user of BackyardEOS premium version for about year. It is the simplicity together with user freindliness where it really shines. It worth every cent spent. Recently I bought an ASI1600MM-C and when looked in to the software to drive it, I found that many software are complicated and less user friendly, specially maximdl. SGPro is better but the sequencer covering the image area is a headache for me. APT have several compatibility issues and crashes quite frequently. So if you could bring the same simple user friendly interface in BackyardEOS or BackyardNIkkon it will be really great thing for CCD/Cooled CMOS astronomy camera users. And don't forget to include the support for ASCOM camera drivers such as in my ASI1600MM-C.

There is some truth to that... but I need to finish and release BackyardNIKON first :)

I also own an SBIG-8300 color, QSI 683wsg-8 mono, and a ATIK 460EX mono.  I will eventually learn to master them... and in the process probably come out with a neat version of BackyardCCD.  Okay, back to BackyardNIKON and autofocus now :)

What if we buy you a puppy?  And take care of it for you too?

Everyone is begging for BYCCD (Or BYCMOS for me, for the ZWO ASI1600, and ASIS224MC).

Please?

APT is out there and supports many cameras, including both my ZWO's.  It's not bad, but a little too full-featured for my liking.  I like it simple.

The puppy offer stands  :)

I posted this request elsewhere and I was linked into here.  Keep us trouble makers in one spot I guess = )

I usually spend all kinds of money doing something (changing my 5DMKII to full spectrum, buying filters for the body only to say I'm going CCD and being out all that cash as I have to spend it on CCD STUFF. New filter sizes, filter wheel etc.  SO I SAID I'm skipping my normal path. Jumped in to ASI071MC-c

Now after I had played with BYE - the other software is confusing. I'm trying to work my way through SGP... it's very capable. But I want to shoot a shot and see a shot n color.

I want to shoot H Aplha and see it in all it's deep red glory.  I don't want to have to pan for gold.  If I take a shot in SGP it appears to be binned only... (not sure what that is) and it's b/w

with a grid over it.  I can't seem to just shoot a stack of color images with it.

I so wanted BYCCD

Oh please hurry and finish BackyardNikon as i have recently brought a Atik 314L and put my 1000D on the top shelf and iam so missing Backyard EOS and its ease of use having used it for a couple of years, but since moving into using a mono CCD and the amazing results you can obtain using LRGB and Narrowband filters its hard to reach and pick the 1000D of that top shelf!!

Thinking about it, I too uses CCD often.  No time frame because it's only a thought for now :(

Came here to say, I have been using BYE and love it, and just the other day I picked up a CCD. Now I'm looking for software to use and I would LOVE to see a BYCCD come out!
