BYE Trial version License activation error

Question

Greetings,

I'm less than a week into the trial version, I keep getting the error "Trial keys require Internet access".  When I enter my Identifier, I get "license activation error! Trial keys require Internet access."  I'm on my home network.  I have booted the PC and opened my router firewall, which did not help.

BYE worked fine the first few days I used it.

Thank you for not posting your full key.

Okay, you are going at this the wrong way, I think.

1) Download and install 3.1.16.

2) Follow the upgrade instructions on the link I posted earlier.  You need to use the key I re-sent you a few days ago for the upgrade, the first line of that key *IS* your free upgrade coupon.

3) Once the upgrade complete you will have a 3.1 key; use that key in 3.1.16.

4) Your new key will not be sent by email.  It will be stored online under "My Purchases -> Orders"".

I'm at a lost here.  The is a simple REST API Internet call to the licensing server.  If it fails and you do have Internet access on that computer then Windows/Firewall/Anti-virus is blocking it.

The website was down for about 15 minutes yesterday so during this time this error would have occured since the server was not reachable but this has been resolved and the server is accepting and has been accepting request since.

Any network guru that can offer clues?

OKAY, WORKING ON IT :(

The server went down yesterday and again today.  In the process of fixing it, my provider has disabled some APIs.  Which means some request did not complete.

They have restored them but in the process too many bad requests were made and the service is locked.  I'm trying to unlock it right now.

I clicked on the padlock and selected "Edit" but there is no where that I can enter my replacement 5 line key

I'm confused.  You said installed and validated.

Why do you need to enter you key again.

You installed and validated what?  3.0.9 or the latest 3.1.16?

For the 5-line key you need to follow the upgrade instructions on the upgrade page.  Click the link below, scroll down and click the upgrade tab.

arioch1st,

You are not using the correct process.

If you already are a licensed user of BYE then you have no need for a Trial license. Instead you should follow the instructions on the Upgrade tab (go to the BYE product page in the Store and scroll down). The instructions are specific to which previous version you are upgrading from.
