D7500 Support

Just now got a D7500. They were introduced in April 2017. Any word on when the SDK will be out and we will get tethering support for them?

I am not a Nikon guy, but if I am reading their web site correctly, the D7500 is supported in a version of the SDK that was released on July 11, 2017.

It may be that Guylain has been waiting for a registered user of that camera to get registration information to embed in BYN.

Thank you, I tested connecting the camera and the basic tests i can do in a hotelroom works

I had 2 issues tho:

In mup "mirror up" mode it told me i needed a serial cable is this correct?

After i got the serial cable error i could not abort the action and had to restart the program.

According to the BYN Supported Cameras table, Mirror Lock is not supported for any Nikon cameras. This is a "feature" of the Nikon SDK and there is nothing that BYN can do about it.

I would not expect that you would need a serial cable since newer cameras all allow BULB exposures to be controlled via the regular USB cable.

ML is not supported in BYN.
