Changes in settings aren't saved

rosenbar@web.de

Question

If I change the language and click on "save". It isn't changed when I start BYE the next time :-(

But the greater problem is, that when I change the location of the folder for the temps, pictures etc., it doesn't save this changes and there's not enough disk space on the default settings.

What can I do to make BYE save my changes in the settings?

Best regards!

Barbara

Which version of BYE are you using?

Earlier this year the same problem was reported by a Windows 10 user. His problem was due to unexpected security settings that prevented BYE from having proper access to some folders. This does not happen to everyone, but is usually occurs after the upgrade to Win 10.

As Rick said this is caused by Windows update.  It has nothing do to with a BYE version.

Run as administrator and you'll be fine.

Alternatively you can reinstall in a NEW folder and this should also solve the issue because the setting file will be created again and Windows will play nice again.
