Enabling temperature compensation

Martens

Question

I'm finishing up an Arduino-based ASCOM focuser attached to a Moonlite focuser and am in testing.  The code is "myFocuserPro2" from Robert Brown in New Zealand.  It all works perfectly, motor moves as designed, the limits are in effect, etc.  I have a one-wire temp sensor which is read properly.  My question is: does the check mark beside the focuser chooser act as a temp compensation switch or is it something else.  It greys out the chevrons, which it should if it enables temp comp but is it that or what is it?  Can't find the info anywhere.

The check mark is to connect your focuser; it greys out the chevrons because when you click on it is disconnects your focuser.  Click on it again and it establishes a connection to the focuser again :)

Thanks, Guylain and Rick, both.

Guylain, Backyard is a terrific software package that solves lots of needs for me.  Kudos to you.  I gave a talk on it to an RASC Edmonton meeting a few weeks ago alongside another of our members who did a talk on Backyard's ties into AstroTortilla.  Well done.
