Maximum cable length

Can I extend the 4 foot cable that came with my Canon T5i?  And if so, approx. how long can it be?

That is an 11 foot extension cable plus the 4 ft cable that came with the camera.

 

And, since this post is in the General section, I should point out that Nikon recommends to ONLY use the cable that came with the camera. No extension cable...no active extension cable...and no hub.

The maximum is 15 feet.   Longer that this and you need an active repeater cable.
