Mike,

Your model numbers are confusing...Canon puts the D at the end. Nikon puts the D at the front. I am assuming that you meant that you traded a Canon EOS 1000D for a 1300D.

Here is a thread started by another user who has a new 5D Mark IV. Your answer is the same as his.

The issue is also discussed in the pinned topic "BackyardEOS camera support grid, is my camera supported?"

The short answer is if and when Canon releases a new version of the EOS Software Development Kit (SDK) to North American developers that supports the 1300D Guylain will incorporate that camera into BYE and make a beta release. He often asks owners of the newly supported cameras to test the beta before making it available to all users as a general release. He is usually very fast. However Canon has not been predictable about when they release new versions of the SDK. It could be several months.

Based on my experience, the only way that BYE will not eventually support your camera is if Canon does not provide support via the SDK. This has happened for the mirrorless EOS cameras where Canon decided not to allow tethered control.

It is too bad that you traded your 1000D! Despite being an older model, it works just fine with BYE. I used to have one before upgrading to a T5i.

I also used the trial eos for my 1300d (called it the 1200d) it did not work and my trial period expired, i bought a new eos 6d and i would like to test the software , can i get a 30 day extension to test it on the new camera ?

Yes, i just archived your first trial key.  You can add a second one in your cart again now.
