Imaging errors returned from 450D

AstroPeterP

Question

Hi,

My Canonon 450D has suddenly stopped imaging using BYEOS.

The camera connects properly and live view for focusing etc is also fine. However when I try to image it fails and returns an error message.

The log is shown below.

12:01:15  Licensed to AstroPeterP
12:01:59  Attempting to connect camera...
12:01:59  Canon drivers 'Canon215\' initialized.
12:02:00  450D-XSi CONNECTED!
12:02:23  Imaging session started.
12:02:24  Imaging session cancelled
12:02:24  ERROR EDS_ERR_INTERNAL_ERROR : EDSDK.EdsSendCommand(CameraRef, 2, 0)

I have tried to check mirror lock and with the memory card in and out and also that the camera has the computer set to a directory on my laptop.

Any further suggestions will be most appreciated.

Peter

I have had to install EOS utilities which wasn't easy without the CD. However I now have it installed and it seems to function properly including using the bulb setting.

Now on returning to EOSBY it too is functioning properly. Did the utility change a setting or what? In any event it now seems to be OK.

Thanks for your help.

Peter
