Nikon sensor temp

Nikonshooter

Question

I noticed on the NikonEOS side, that EXIF data feeds sensor info to BYEOS - specifically sensor temperature information.   Since it does not appear to be available on the Nikon side is that because "temp info" is not included in Nikon's exif script.     This would be helpful info to have.  I am aware of the rapid rise in sensor temp when in "Frame and Focus"..so much so I try to steer clear of using it until and only when I am ready to focus quickly - then I wait for a period of time to let things cool down before imaging.  Soooo all of that to say, is it possible to have that feature on the Nikon side of things?  Whew, takes me a while to get to the point!

Thanks!  I guess that settles that.   Regardless, though the info would be good to know, hanging out in "Frame and Focus" before a night of imaging is not a good way to start...and knowing that in advance is helpful.   I was imaging with a friend who uses Canon and his sensor temp increased by 14 degrees in less than 4 minutes of "Frame and Focus".   Now not to sure how accurate the info being fed into Canon's exif is but that fact that it caused an increase is useful info to have.
