Sensor Temperature

Question

Got a new cooled/modified Canon 700D DSLR.

BYE v 3.1.2

The Temperature reported in the Sensor Temperature frame - is this the same as the sensor EXIF temperature?

Where approximately on the camera sensor (Canon 700D) is the temperature probe located?

Jon,

The value reported in the <temperature> portion of the file name and as the Sensor Temperature in BYE's Camera Information Center area comes from the EXIF data's Camera Temperature value.

There is no indication that the temperature comes from "on the sensor". Rather it is "from the camera". It is possible that the location of the temperature sensor is proprietary and not something that Canon would release.

Yes, BYE is extracting the Sensor Temp from the EXIF Data.

As for "Where is the Temperature Probe??" - Canon makes quite a Secret of that info...
