D800 not connected

I am running parallels on mac osx latest. I have windows 10 installed. I can see d800 is connected in windows 10. However BYN 1.0.5 cannot connect...

What could have gone wrong?

Anyone here has it working with d800 and parallels win10?

Try BYN 1.0.4.

 

Windows needs to see the camera as an imaging device, not a storage device.  

 

Are you using USB2 or USB3?

Thank you! 1.0.4 works. I have tried both USB 2 and USB3. 1.0.5 failed for both.

With that working, I am wondering what I can do with BYN for planetary imaging? Without a good video option, what would you suggest that I do with my D800 with BYN? I would really like to try stacking to see if I can get better results...

You may need to wait for BYN to support a 1:1 zoom/crop mode for LiveView in order to do planetary imaging, or buy a Canon camera like the T5i.

Also, make sure that any wireless connectivity is disabled and that the memory card in the camera is empty.
