Can't get full screen display on separate monitor

yknott456

Question

I run TheSky6, PHD2 and BYEOS simultaneously and that takes up a lot of real estate to display.  Consequently I like to set up an external monitor.  The monitor has a much better display that my laptop screen so I would like to be able to run BYEOS on it but, when I click the icon to get a full screen display of my image it appears back on my laptop screen.  Is there a way to get it to show on my attached monitor?  If not, it might be something to consider for the next version.

thanks,

Al

Resizing wasn't the issue, I was just unable to get the Presentation screen to show up on the external monitor.  Then I noticed the icon in the upper left corner of the Presentation display and found that I could click and drag the display with that.  Been using the program for years and for some reason just never took note of it.  Anyway the problem is solved.  I couldn't find anything about this in the User Guide so you might want to mention it in the next manual (for dummies like me).

thanks,

Al

Can you clarify please.  What icon are you clicking to get full screen?  The application icon or the "presentation" mode icon?

I have no problem resizing to full screen on a dual monitor setup with different screen resolutions for me.

The presentation mode icon.  The one that looks like a portable screen for showing slides or movies.

Thank, can you post a print screen of the issue?  Mine resizes properly on all monitors with difference resolutions so I don't quite understand the odd behavior.  A print screen should remove all doubt.

Thanks

I believe that the OP's issue is not a re-sizing issue.  It is a window placement issue.

Set up your PC with an external monitor as the extended desktop then launch BYE. Drag the BYE window so that it shows on the external monitor. Then take an image and when it has downloaded, switch to Presentation mode.  The Presentation mode window shows on the primary monitor rather than over the main window which is on the extended monitor.

The OP is asking to keep all BYE windows on the same monitor.

I duplicated the issue.
