Digest E-mail?

Hi,

I just registered for the new and improved Backyard Eos forum.  I was wondering if the feature where I would get a digest form of current threads/posts in my e-mail like the Yahoo Group?  I really liked that feature, since it allowed me to cherry-pick the topics I was interested in without having to log on the group everyday.  Any chance?

Hi Kevin, Yes that feature is there. Go to the forum you want to subscribe and click the subscription at the bottom. Select daily digest. You need to to this for each forum you are interested in. Guylain

Guylain, I did exactly that and what I get is email with bunch of links. I don't want to see links, I want to see header/subject of a message and short excerpt. Can you do it?

You get links when the digest is at the forum level.

 

You get links and text when the digest is at the thread level.

 

I have not control over the digest format <_>

Basically, there is no way to get digest like on Yahoo, right? I really like the pick-and-choose format where I just followed what was relevant to me with subject title either new or Re: and then short text. Guylain, are you sure it can't be done?

For those not satisfied with the native forum digest email you might find comfort in the rss feed format.
