Mount/camera/guide configuration update

Question

Good news and bad news.

First the bad news.

I removed the SBIG SG-4 as the guide camera and replaced it with the Meade DSI-II Color CCD camera.

Why?

I want to use PHD2 in conjunction with BackyardEOS to control the Losmandy G-11 mount for dithering my images. I tried many ways to get PHD2 and the SG-4 to talk to each other. The only thing I could get working was the DSI-II.

And now the good news.

PHD2, BackyardEOS, the Canon 60D, and the DSI-II are all working together. I am using the Shoestring GPUSB cable to connect my laptop to the Gemini 2 controller.

The extra cables seen dangling from the OTA are the ones used with the SG-4.

First light tonight will tell whether or not it really is working, because so far it works set up in the daytime.

Yeah, I need to pay my neighbor to have those trees removed.

You have 11 inch guide scope?!

It's a 12" Meade LX200 - deforked. Sometimes I switch the cameras if I want a narrow field of view that the Meade offers (f/10) compared to the SV80ED (f/7).
