From BYE to BYN

Darren

Question

Just got a Nikon D7200, which is quite the upgrade from my trusty old T2i and BYEOS. Loved BYEOS. A couple of things I'm noticing while using BYN:

1) Not getting sensor temperature from imaging window.

2) Using DSUSB cable. This is working fine, however, I am finding the need to "check cable" or init and cancel the first focusing image in order for the software display and the actions of the camera to be in sync. The display will often show "init cable" with the spinning wheel - yet I cannot hear the shutter open. The second exposure always seems perfect.

I know this is a work in progress, and for sure you have a repeat customer once my trial is done.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Darren.

Nikon does not have a temp sensor so you'll never get one with BYN sadly :(

The INIT cable is a DSUSB thing, not much I can do about that... but fortunately this is only for the first time and 30 seconds into it the shutter will fire.  It's the same thing in BYE for those who uses the DSUSB cable.  Don't cancel anything, let it complete its init cycle.

However, why are you using the DSUSB cable with the D7200?  That model can do BULB over regular USB.
