First, Trial and Premium are not "versions" of BYE. They are license types. When a license is applied to a copy of BYE it activates the features in the app that were purchased. Since you are going from a Trial to Premium license, you should still have access to all the features of BYE or BYN. The only difference is that the app no longer has to hit the internet to verify that your Trial license is not expired.

I mentioned BYN, along with BYE, because  the licensing process is the same for both apps. However, the apps require separate licenses. A BYE license will not work with BYN, and vice versa.

When you got the Trial version you went to the O'Telescope Store and "purchased" a Trial license. I put the word purchased in quotes because there was no charge to get the Trial license.

Next you downloaded  BYE or BYN from the O'Telescope Downloads area. When you started the app, it asked for license information. To get this you brought up the O'Telescope web  site and logged in with the same username that you used to get the Trial license. Then you navigated to My Purchases | Orders from the menu bar at the top of the page. There you found the Trial license  key that was good for 30 days.

Once the license key was entered into the BYE/BYN license validation dialog, the app was unlocked.

To go from a Trial license to a Premium license, it is not necessary to download/install BYE/BYN again. Once you have purchased the Premium license all you have to do is to go back to My Purchases | Orders to get your Premium license and transfer that license key into the app, replacing the Trial license.

The easiest way to transfer the license key is to select the entire Premium key with the mouse or touch screen and use Ctrl+C to copy it to the
Windows clipboard. Then use Ctrl+V to paste it into the BYE/BYN license validation dialog and  enter your logon username (Bluemax) into the Identifier field.

Should you need to re-validate your license in the future, the only pieces of information that you need to remember are the URL for the O'Telescope web site AND your logon username. If you do not remember your password, you can go through the "I lost my password" process to set a new one. Then, once you are logged on, you can go back to My Purchases | Orders to access your license key. You must also remember to update your profile on the site if you change your email address. This will facilitate the lost password process should you need it.

There are a few other items of importance.

DO NOT create another account on the web site. The new account will not have access to license keys from the old account so for most people having multiple accounts is unnecessary anyway. This means that you always need to logon with the BlueMax account.

Also, per the red banner at the top of the page. Keep your license keys private. Never publish them or include them in posts to this site or any other site.

I hope this helps
