Initiating a burst from the app

Hi,

I am setting up a script with different exposure lengths and different ISO settings and at one step, I just want to initiate burst (saving files to the camera and not to the PC)

Is there a way to initiate a burst using the App? 

I am using a Nikon Z7 ii

I have done that. I always save to camera and not PC to save time.

The issue is that when I have an Intervalometer connected and I hold down the shutter continuously at a shutter speed for 1/4000 I can capture 150-200 images in under 30 seconds.

When I set the script to image at 1/4000 with zero delay and pauses and save to camera is set - the process seems much slower and only captures a couple of dozens of images if that. There seems to be a lot of communication going back and forth after every image, perhaps it is waiting for the image to be saved in storage before firing off the next and not really using the buffer on the camera.

This is how the software works. It's not a replacement for an intervalometer for bust shooting, the main design for BYE/BYE is long exposure photography.

OK, now I understand what you mean by "burst" shooting. I do not believe that BYN supports burst shooting (multiple exposures from one long shutter press).

With BYN every image is a separate shutter press. Once BYN "presses the shutter" virtually, it has to wait until the camera says that it is ready to take  another picture before it can start the next one.
