Cannot Install Backyard 3.1.16

I have a valid purchase and license key for the BackyardEOS 3.1.16. However, once I entered my license key and Identifier, it give me "Could not find any recognizable digits" Please help.

BYE 3.1.16 is over 6 years old. You should download the latest release (BYE version 3.2.3) and install it. The same license key can be used, so there is no cost to you. The new release supports several new camera models and a whole slew of new features.

Thank you for your quick reply. However, but I got the same error when installing 3.2.3. Should I send you my licensee key, so you can check it up?

No, you need to keep your license key private. Do not post or share your key with anyone else, including on this web site. The owners of O'Telescope already know what your key is. In any case, I am not an employee of O'Telescope. I am a user of BYE, as you are.

The title of your post is misleading since your problem is not an installation problem. At the point where you enter your license key BYE has already been installed and you are running the application. It is a license validation problem.

The error that you are seeing is typically due to the key being entered incorrectly into BYE. It could also be caused by you using Windows 7 or earlier. Those versions of Windows are no longer supported by Microsoft and could have software that is too old to support validating your license with the O'Telescope servers.

Are you getting your license key from this web site via the My Purchases -> Orders menu at the top of this web page? The license key is an alphanumeric string broken up into equally sized groups of letters and numbers separated by dashes. Are you using Copy/Paste to transfer the key from the web page to the BYE license validation dialog? Do not try to type the license key into the BYE license validation dialog, but Copy the key from the web page and Paste it into BYE.

Thank you so much for your help. I got the right license key from my account as you described. It works now!  I was using a very old license key purchased in 2013, which was received in  email from BackyardEOS.... instead of the new one purchased in 2018 with the O'Telescope
