The current version of BYN (version 2.1.3) should support your Z6ii. The supported cameras page (https://www.otelescope.com/byncameras.html/) indicates that this model has been tested with BYN either by other users or the BYN developers.

It would help to know what you mean by "I have tried the recommended ways to connect...". Details of what you tried and what reaction, or error message(s) did you see?

Did Windows recognize the camera when it is plugged into the computer with the USB cable and the camera is powered on? In other words, do you see the camera listed in the Windows Device Manager? If not BYN will not be able to connect.

Did you disable WiFi in the camera? This may be needed to connect via the USB cable.

The more details you provide the quicker the community will be able to diagnose your issue and get you up and running.

Thanks,

Yes, your original version of BYN (2.1.0) was released before the Z6ii was released so there is no way that BYN 2.1.0 could ever support that camera model. This is because BYN uses the Nikon SDK to control the camera and the SDK does not support unreleased camera models.

Oh, and please if you post other issues or questions regarding BYN, please use the BackyardNIKON forum, rather than the General  forum.

Thanks!
