Please let us know what exact version of BYE you are running.  R7 is a recent Model that requires the Current Version of BYE.

"cannot get it to work" is pretty vague.

Does Windows see the camera when it is plugged in and powered on? If not, there is no way that BYE will work with it. This could be a bad cable, or a Windows issue.

Does BYE Connect to the camera? It should be in Manual mode.

Do you have a lens on the camera or a telescope? If a lens, is it a Canon autofocus (EF or similar) lens? If not, does the camera work when not connected to BYE?

If you have the camera mounted on a telescope, you may need to configure the camera to support taking pictures with no lens attached.

If you can take pictures but they don't download to the PC, try temporarily disabling your computer's anti-virus software.

The more information you can provide about what you are trying to do and what you are seeing, the more targeted our suggestions can be.

thanks everyone i had to delete the old verion then install the new one works good now
