More Focuser Questions....

I have an LX-200 GPS with the Meade focuser. If I hit one of the arrows on the right (any of them) the focus moves that amount - np. If I hit one of the arrow on the left (any of them) I hear the focuser go one way, then back and ends up moving the amount (1, 10, etc). Is that normal or why would that happen?

Looks like your focuser driver has some sort of backlash built into it.  Seems all good to me

That is really a question for the author of the Meade driver. All BYN does is to ask the focuser to move to a new position (an absolute focuser)  or by a certain amount (a relative focuser). The driver handles actually making the move.
