Guylain,

Did the Nikon SDK gain any "Expanded Features" specific to the "a" Modifications/Features of the D810a??

Nikon made a number of AstroImaging-oriented additions to the D810a Feature Set (longer Manual Exposure time settings of 60-900sec, a "Virtual Exposure Preview" mode expansion to LiveView, etc), and if any of these Additions made it to the SDK then that would bode well for future Astro-DSLR offerings from Canon or Sony as well.

Some were added and some are just redundant to what BYN is doing such as the internal intervalometer... so I'm not putting any effort it trying to support these features as they are meant to work without a computer.

As for "Virtual Liveview Preview" that is already there is some selected higher end models.  It is pretty much the same as Canon's Liveview Simulation.  To enable it on Nikon bodies that supports it... (1) disconnect the camera from the computer, (2) turn live view on, (3) click the ok button to turn live view simulation, (4) connect the camera back to the computer, (5) changing shutter speed/aperture/iso should alter the liveview :)

Regards,
