License unexpectedly required revalidating

I launched BackyardNikon just now and it displayed my key and prompted me for my login name (not password), which it accepted and then launched.  

Is this something it's going to do periodically, or did you have a server problem or something?

This has been an ongoing, but pretty rare, occurrence for several years.

It happened to me as a result of traveling to a different time zone to do imaging. My recommendation is to keep your username and license key in a file on your PC so you are never without them. I keep mine in a password protected database for storing usernames and passwords. That way, when asked, you will be able to continue working with minimal fuss, even if you do not have internet access at your location.

Windows update and/or a change of time zone may trigger this re-validation.
